Cosmic daily
Bobaz and his sentient staff floated peacefully in space, gazing at his home planet Filaz. They always enjoyed the glow of energy from the intergalactic communications satellite. Bobaz had been told as a youth that it was not unlike the Northern lights on planet Earth....
...And now Bobaz can be seen in 3-D Noir vision...

Pimpin'....
Today I'm showing a preview of my latest project. It's an illustrated version of a short prose piece titled Empty Places, by writer Gary Raisor. This, along with the non-illustrated version are being packaged as an e-book. As soon as I have information on ordering, etc, I'll update.
Many artists have tried to fuse comic style art with prose. I believe this should be done more often. It was a learning experience, in any case.
Empty Places is copyright 2112 Gary Raisor. All intergalactic rights reserved.
....and just for the Hell of it, here's the latest pin up by Rock Baker and myself. Rock's already posted on his blog, but I'm on a roll. Deal with it. :) Guess who..?

Time machine time
Okay..woke up later than expected...urge to sketch not happening...So today, we take a trip in the time machine...all the way back to the late 80's. It was very early in my use of brush. EC and Eisner were giving me ideas on shading. Went through a period of creating one to two page rhyming stories. This is one of the surviving few. From a photocopy....

Vintage Jeff
I'm in the home stretch, finishing up an assignment. So today, you get some vintage Jeff...from all the way back in the early 90's. This was an idea I had for an anthology of short, rhyming, usually humorous stories. As you can see, I was a bit of a tone freak even back then.
This is a scan of a copy..the original art for this is long gone. Just...me-mo-RIIIIEESS.....
Uncle Ribald is a troublemaker...he don't need no stinkin' copyrights.

Heavy gravity day
Today is one of those days where I wake up and gravity seems to be extra heavy. So no new sketch. Instead, a color thumbnail from an older assignment. The thumbnails [yes, there were others] represented different states of mind. This one is depression.

VaVaVooooommm....
I'm skipping the sketch today. In it's place, I'm presenting a story I drew for Paul Monsky's Vavavoom #3. This is a science fiction story featuring his character Lt. Ann Li, a lass who seems to have pretty poor luck out in space [at least in my story]. At one point, she splits off into several alternate versions, each having it's own adventure. If you'd like to see more of Lt. Ann or the other fine stories in Vavavoom, go here... http://vavavavoomonline.com/
